NDPHC Director Bags the Highest Honor in Engineering

The Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers has announced that it will confer the Fellowship of the Society, the highest honour of membership in the Engineering profession, on Engr. IfeOluwa Oyedele, Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services of Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited and the conferrement will hold on Friday 22nd March 2019.

Engr. Oyedele, an Electrical Engineer has, in a career spanning both public and private sectors, been in active engineering practice for over 3 decades. The award is in recognition of his commendable achievements in the field of Engineering.

In the 2019 edition of the award which also marks the 60th Anniversary of the Society, the President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Engr. Adebayo Mokuolu, FNSE will confer the honor on Engr. Oyedele among other colleagues who have attained the highest level of professional standard in various disciplines at a Gala Night taking place in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Engineer Ife Oyedele (FRMN) is also a Fellow of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria.

Oyedele began his career with DAFEC Consultants as an engineer with responsibilities to design and prepare tenders for rural electrification projects. His responsibilities also included supervision and monitoring the implementation of projects. He later joined Oyo State Ministry of Works and Transport where he worked for two years with similar career responsibilities in his previous job.

Engineer Ife Oyedele was born on the 8th October, 1958 in Okitipupa, Ondo-state and graduated from University of Lagos in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

For his secondary education, he attended Government College Ibadan and graduated in 1975.  Ife Oyedele has a distinguished career both in Private and public service hence his appointment in August 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari as Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC). Before his current appointment, Engineer Oyedele established his own company, Matcom Limited in 1992 and as a Managing Director of Matcom, he ensured that the company focused its businesses and activities on professional discipline and standards.
